Bought a brand new lappy for ~$3000... had it for a month and BAM, doesn't boot, doesn't do anything.. only one light goes on. Sure it's on the warranty, but I needed it the next week, and sending it for repair would be long and I didn't want to risk.
Knife, scissors, "too-big" screwdriver plus a 12 piece set of precision screw drivers bought later at midnight in Chinese convenience store.
Everything is back together, no screws left over. I've correctly identified the problem: FooBared LCD screen, still had to send it for repair, luckly I got it one day before I actually needed it....
