Fried fish with a twist.
My fillets
OK, I lied a bit, I won't be cooking cod, but basa fish; I just couldn't resist the cop/cod wordplay. Besides, for this dish, most fish will do.

Fried fish with a twist.
My fillets
OK, I lied a bit, I won't be cooking cod, but basa fish; I just couldn't resist the cop/cod wordplay. Besides, for this dish, most fish will do.
Spiced breadcrumbs
Breadcrumb "cover"
Frying the fish
First of all, if you don't have spiced breadcrumbs, just add spice to taste.
Pour lemon juice onto a plate, add salt and stir until all salt disolves. Add spiced breadcrumbs and the eggs. Mix until the mixture is uniform (yes, it does look a bit gross)
Make sure your fish is fully thawed, it wouldn't hurt to cut it to about the size of a slice of bread (I cut my fillets in half).
Dump fish fillets in flour to ensure complete coverage. Then on one side spread a thin layer of our breadcrumb mixture. This will be a "cover" under which our fish will be :)
Melt all the butter in a frying pan and fry the fish on medium heat until light-golden brown. Fry the non-breadcrumbed side first.
That's all there is to it. Serve with a side of your choice. Tonight, I'll have my fish with fried potatoes. I can't say this about all of my recipes, but this fish is delish!
