Healthy snack on a stick...

Today we won't be frying any meat and instead we'll snack up on some vitamins - no fat included.

Note: normally, you would need those short plastic skewers. I did not have those, so I improvised and used halves of those long bamboo ones; luckily, I don't seem to have gotten any splinters!

Ingredients

My ingredients

Note: the amounts of ingredients are rather arbitrary as you will be randomly skewing them on.

  • Coconut Yoghurt - Just bother to get the same yoghurt as I have used. It's called "Source" and has pineapple, banana and coconut picture on it. I honestly can say that this is the root ingredient of this dish; without it, you'll be just eating fruit on a stick.
  • Pineapple
  • Watermelon
  • Stawberries
  • Green seedless grapes
  • Bananas
  • Melon - I did not use it, but I think it'll go nicely with the rest of the fruit.

Preparation

Skewing in progress

The process is rather simple: clean the pinapple (don't forget to remove the center). Cut the watermelon. Chop about 1/4" x 1" x 1" pieces out of pinapple and watermelon - they don't have to be precise, we're not building a house here.

Skew the fruit onto the skewers. I randomly skewed different fruits in random order, but tried to have all the fruits on each skewer.

Take a shallow round plate and lay out the skewed fruits around it. Make sure it's large enough to have an empty spot in the middle for our yoghurt. Pour the yoghurt in the middle of the plate.

The way to eat FruitZZ is to dip each fruit on the skewer in the yoghurt before putting it into your mouth. This is why the flavor of the yoghurt matters a lot - it affects the taste of the fruits significantly.
